With the database errors behind us there is still one lass bug to squash on our blog site. As many of you have noticed “My Blogs” does not have your blog drop down right now. I am currently working on the problem but would like to share with you two quick solutions to this error.

1. Search your e-mail for the word “blogs” and then open up your introduction email. It will have a link that should put you in the Dashboard.

2. Go to your blog address at http://(name).wells-school.com/blogs/ and simply add wp-admin/ to the end. Your complete link would be:

http://(name).wells-school.com/blogs/wp-admin/

Many of our blogs have been plagued with SPAM (unwanted internet advertisements.) I would like to let everyone know again how to get rid of these unwanted comments once and for all.

1. Click on settings from your dashboard
2. Click on Discussion
3. Click Users must be registered and logged in to comment

This will make it so only members of Wells Blogs will be able to make comments on your blog. If you have not done this already please do a mass delete of comments and make the small change.

Students that have not completed this will receive a reduced score on their blog check in two weeks time. Teachers I do not recommend this if you intend on communicating with parents.

As many of you know our database had a small hiccup yesterday preventing any of us from logging on or getting any work done. I isolated the issue and repaired the database after a few hours of work this morning so everything should be working fine. All homework is back on course and excuses will be ignored.

I thought since it only took me two hours to fix I might as well give the site a makeover. I chose a design which I believe connects everything together in a nice and easy to use manner. Suggestions are always welcome so if you have any ideas to share please let me know!
